BDIA 25 Best Interior Architecture Projects 2020/21
sophiegreen is a multidisciplinary design studio (interior architecture - build communication - design) with an international profile. We specialise in human centred design and adaptive re-use of the built environment: through renovation, reconversion, rethinking and redesign. Our projects are developed from the user's perspective - from the inside out. We create spaces with impact - that attract, energise and inspire people.
We believe in the power of built space, both in terms of experience and function. And we believe in solutions over disciplines.
sophiegreen provides sustainable and environmentally responsible interior architecture without compromising on aesthetics. Green architecture can and should be a thing of beauty.
We turn space into a communication tool, developing environments that are finely tuned to our clients' personal or corporate identities, spaces that interact - visually and emotionally.
sophiegreen manages projects of various scales, in both the private and the public sector.
We work with a flexible and highly qualified team of engineers, architects and designers, which allows us to respond directly and efficiently to individual project requirements.
sophiegreen believes in providing sustainable interior architecture – making conscious choices from the construction and engineering stage through to the materials and final finishes chosen.
Thanks to our wealth of technical expertise and constant research, we help you to cut your energy and resource use, capitalise on renewable energy systems, and remove toxins from your environment while creating beautiful, efficient, healthy spaces to live and work in, without compromising on aesthetics.
Our methods include the selection of materials which are local, durable, recycled, re-purposed, energy efficient and low emission, as well as working with eco-construction businesses and energy consultants.
We provide eco design insight and suggestions beginning at the design stage in order to create energy efficient buildings, maximising on passive design principles and renewable energy systems.
We are familiar with the details of the German sustainability standards (DGNB) as well as the British sustainability standards (BREEAM) and comply with them whenever and wherever possible.
